Najla Trabelsi holds a PhD and HDR in biology. She is Assistant Professor in the Centre of Biotechnologie of Borj Cédria (CBBC) with expertise in valorization of agro-food byproducts as source of bioactive molecules presenting diverse properties like, food conservation, therapeutic, economic and/or cosmetic effects, bio-pesticides, plant growth promoter; extraction of natural additives, coloring and flavoring agents from biomass by-products; extraction of biopolymers for the production of eco-friendly and biodegradable bio-packaging. She reviewed several ISI and non-ISI scientific journals, and she is an author and co-author of 54 papers published by international peer-reviewed journals with a total h-index of 23 (Scopus). She is a member of international project: Development of anti-arthritic remedy with olive by-products, Tunisian and South Korean cooperation, (2017-2019). She is a national coordinator of Prima project FEDKITO (2020-2023). She has a partnerships with socio-economic partners: (1) Specific research agreement between the Laboratory of Olive Biotechnology (CBBC) and BOUDJEBEL SA VACPA Company (September 2022); (2) Partnership agreement between Cillium olive oil and the Laboratory of Olive Biotechnology (CBBC) (January 2020).
