Mrs. Marwa is a Biotechnology researcher at the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries Wealth & Water Resources, Oman. She is a PhD student at the Faculty of Agriculture Science at Sultan Qaboos University, Oman. 

Her research primarily focuses on characterizing wheat genotypes of Omani origin for their salt tolerance and developing management strategies to improve it. Mrs. Marwa is interested in improving the salt tolerance of Omani wheat genotypes through the integrated use of nano-sized chitosan-proline and biochar. She has published three articles related to her research in a famous international journal and has won the SQU Prize for Journal Publication and Patent System. Currently, she is working on a research project titled "Nanotechnology-Enabled Strategies to Enhance Drought Stress Tolerance in Wheat Crop: Unveiling the Mechanisms and Practical Applications of Nano-Trehalose Particles."
