Dr. Hanan is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Biology at the Faculty of Sciences Ben M'sik, University of Hassan II of Casablanca, Morocco. She finished her environment and biology studies at the University of Abdelmalek Essaadi, Tetouan, Morocco. Afterwards, she completed her PhD and post-doctorate in plant biology at the University of the Balearic Islands in Spain. 

Here research focuses on plant physiology and molecular responses to biotic and abiotic stresses under field conditions. Years of research were reflected in several international publications. 

Since 2016, she has worked as a voluntary scientist and is a co-founding member of the Humanitarian Neuropsych Project with other members of the Department of Clinical and Developmental Neuropsychology at the University of Groningen, Netherland.
