Luma Hamdi holds a PhD degree in Land, Water, and Environment, with specific specialization in crop modeling. She Contributed during her doctoral dissertation in developing a salinity module for DSSAT cropping system model, then provided consultation services in the domains of climate change and water quality modeling after graduation. She also published on pertinent topics. After joining the National Agricultural Research Center (NARC) in Jordan, she had a significant contribution to a policy paper for the country's agricultural sector, applying a Water-Energy-Food-Ecosystems (WEFE) nexus approach. She joined various conferences in Jordan and the region to present the policy's outcomes, underscoring the critical need for the integration of these components in agricultural research and development. Currently she is engaged in multiple WEFE nexus agricultural projects at NARC, driven by a deep- passion to promote sustainable agricultural practices and tackle the multifaceted challenges within the field.
